I Got Dressed - Hello Apparel

I Got Dressed - Hello Apparel hellokelcey.blogspot.com

Hello! Ok in case you couldn't tell, I really like the word "hello." I'm friendly, I like other people to know I'm friendly, so what better way to do that than have a "hello" sweatshirt from Hello Apparel

I have been a huge fan of this brand for a while. They have the cutest clothes for adults, kids and babies. They offer everything from tank tops to sweatpants to buttons and temporary tattoos. Their kids clothes are some of my favorites. They just get it.

When I was looking at their website I decided to go with the classic "hello" red champ pullover. It's their signature piece and it totally fits with my personality. I know that you're thinking- "Kelcey, it's summer. It's way too hot for a sweatshirt." Wrong! Well, mostly wrong. I will wear this as much as my thermometer allows me until fall then I will wear it every day. Madison and I are hoping to take a mini beach trip this summer and a nice pullover is perfect for cooler nights on the beach.

I paired the pullover with some medium wash jeans, a gold necklace and some tan wedges, to dress things up a bit. I like mixing dressier pieces with more casual ones to create a fun visual juxtaposition.

I love these wedges. They are from Marshall's a few years ago and are so comfy. For someone like myself who is a bit wobbly in heels, these are the perfect option.

When it's too hot to wear a pullover outside, you can find me snuggled up in bed with the A/C blasting. Anything to be comfy and cozy. This sweatshirt is seriously the softest thing ever. It's so comfortable and warm and amazing, and also super great quality.

I highly suggest you go over to Hello Apparel and snag one of these. Come fall I'm pretty sure I won't be wearing anything else.

Thanks to Hello Apparel for sponsoring this post. All opinions and obsession over this pullover are my own.

I Got Dressed - Denim on Top

Kelcey Wears - Denim on Top hellokelcey.blogspot.com

Hello there! I'm back with another outfit post. I decided to change the name of this feature to I Got Dressed...because it still surprises me after months of PJs while recovering from my accident. This might become a weekly series, or bi-weekly depending on how many times I get dressed each week. I think this will be a great way to show other stay at home moms how I dress to be cute and stylish, but also comfortable. The comfort is from the leggings, of course. Two weeks of leggings... I do own pants I swear.

Again, I can't link you to anything because this is all pretty old. The pink shirt is from HIGH SCHOOL... The denim polka dot shirt is from Old Navy last year. They might have something similar this year, I feel like they tend to bring things back in the same season the following year. These leggings are from Aerie, when I worked there in college. I love the zip ankle, it adds some fun interest. Don't we all want more interesting ankles? The flats are Topshop for Nordstrom. I can guarantee they don't have these anymore because I'm pretty sure I got the last pair in New England. The necklace is from Forever 21, again last year. This outfit is super comfy but I don't feel like a slob in it. Also, my hair officially faded back to red. I just can't escape it.

I kept my makeup pretty neutral today as well. I did regular foundation routine which I mentioned here paired with a gold sparkly shadow, brown eyeliner and mascara. I also did a nude lip which I never do. I always wear a bold lip or nothing at all, but I'm kind of really liking this. I may have to do it more often.

What are your go to pieces for a comfy but cute outfit?

I Got Dressed - Summer Gypsy Mom

Kelcey Wears - Summer Gypsy Mom hellokelcey.blogspot.com

HAYO we're going to try something new over here. Outfit posts! I know you're all dying to see more of me so that is for you. Really it's for me as motivation to get out of my pajamas during the day. Any other stay at home moms out there who can relate? I just want to be comfy. Well this outfit is super comfy and looks cute so it fits both criteria, exactly what I'm looking for in a momiform. I'm still getting used to be in front of the camera for a change so bear with me ok! I'm going to call this one Summer Gypsy Mom because of the kimono. I need more of those in my life. What a perfect way to be comfortable but look put together. Win win! Two more things - why is my hair red again? I distinctly remember dying it purple. If you haven't been following for a while, I have a broken wrist, hence the brace. That was not a fashion choice. Ok here we go...

*awkward*

I don't have any links for you because I bought all of this so long ago, but! I can tell you the tank is from Old Navy and it's my favorite, the leggings and sandals are from American Eagle, the headband is from Forever 21 and the kimono is from Urban Outfitters. I made my necklace and you can find a tutorial right here.
